Sway is the result of a rethinking of the traditional structure of the lamp. Typically the bulb housing component is the same structure that would hold up the lamp shade. We wanted to explore the form of a lamp that presented parts of the whole separately but unified through the act of lighting a space all while seemingly defying gravity.
Get ready for a modern take on the floating shelf where all the pieces align perfectly together! Tetris spans 8’ in length, 8” in depth, and is comprised from a beautiful milled Walnut and held together by the use of finger joints and white oak dowels. Tetris is a floating shelf ready to hold an absurd amount of clutter for any modern day individual!
Our Low Lounge Bed is definitely a “Scandinavian Shin Splitter”! This bed was designed with a Classic Danish Modern aesthetic and a 21st century design process. Cut using a CNC machine, our “Low Lounger” is made from 5 sheets of 3/4” birch plywood, and 2” wooden rods. Almost the entire bed is assembled with mortis and tenon connections and specialized wood screws in specific locations. The “Low Lounger” sits 7” from the floor and incorporates a slatted end bench with two side tables brought together by a massive 8’3” head board!
At Danico we pride ourselves in learning new methods and techniques to achieve our designs. What better way to celebrate this than with our own Veneer Easy Chair named “Vinny”! Our chair “Vinny” is made from sheets of white oak veneer laminated by hand, hand bent 5/8” steel pipe, and custom footing from no other place but Amazon. Replicating late 50’s and early 60’s methods of Charles and Ray Eames led to the styling of “Vinny” as well as a graphic set of posters to really give off that Retro Vibe!
Chair³ or otherwise known as our “Cubed Chair” is our contemporary approach of a chair comprised of two very raw materials. Chair³ is made from 1”x1” tube steel frame welded together with 8”x 1/8” Flat Strap as arm rests, allowing space to gather and store more unnecessary items! The cushions are hand stitched cow leather, dyed a beautiful olive green color. The minimal framed design allows for both materials to naturally compliment one another with ease.

3.Prong is an exploration in furniture design through the implementation of 3D printed connections. 3.Prong is comprised of a hand sawn Mesquite stump, three 1” dowel rods, and black PVA filament printed main connection and bow ties. What began as a concept and test run has turned into our initial pass for the possibilities 3D printing will allow us on future projects!
What kind of furniture designers would we be without even attempting an epoxy river table!? Well here is our “Cry me a river…TABLE”. This clear epoxy table consists of a clean and minimal welded 1”x2” tubular steel base and two beautiful matching cypress slabs encased in a clear epoxy. …Yes we know we can be basic sometimes….oh well “cry me a river… TABLE.”
In preparation for the reveal of our kitchen renovation project which involves a A LOT of concrete, we decided to share one of our earlier projects titled: 1.Heavy Coffee Table! This coffee table is nothing more than a slick form cast concrete top and a 1/4" steel base plate. If you really enjoy this table and have to have it don't get too excited we don't ship it......pick up only....
